Making Paper Beads
Here's a fun, easy and inexpensive way to make some nice beads for bracelets, necklaces or just add-ons. First start with paper (not cardstock) - I chose black. Stamp randomly with a pigment ink - I used Encore Silver.
Now emboss the stamped images - I used detail silver embossing powder.
Here's the completed stamped and embossed paper. See it doesn't matter what you stamp just make it random. Now's a good time to drag out those stamps that you hardly ever use ;-)
Next cut the paper into strips the length of the size beads that you want. Roll the strips onto a wooden skewer and then fix the end using a dab of glue. Make sure you don't use too much glue or the bead may not release from the skewer.
