A Feminine Torso

Here's a project I made in a class years ago.  I loved the class.  We took a paper mache torso and sliced it in half.  We painted it a base color and then over painted with a crackle paint.  The many embellishments consisted of buttons, lace trim, ribbon up the back cris-crossed like a corset and a beautiful silk hydrangea as the "bustle".  Inside there are some dangling doodads (faces, keys, bottle caps) from rusty wire.  I just love it because it's delicate and feminine on the outside yet a little tattered and grungy on the inside.
